If it is an actual house you’re after, consider heading south of Sathon Road towards Nanglinchi and Yenakart. If your budget is tight, you’ll need to get away from the mass transit hubs. The deeper you go in the sois (i.e., backstreets), the cheaper rent gets. On the plus side, these areas usually have more of a community feel.
